SpeedStreet Detours - Routes 1, 8, 21, 26 & 34On Wednesday, May 22, 2013, starting at 9:30 a.m. through Saturday, May 25, 2013, the buses on Routes 1, 2, 8 and 34 will detour because of SpeedStreet activities.
Memorial Day Holiday Service - All RoutesOn Monday, May 27, 2013, the Charlotte Area Transit System bus routes and the LYNX Blue Line, will operate its Sunday service schedule in observance of the Memorial Day Holiday.
Street Closure - Route 13From Monday, May 20, 2013, to June 3, 2013, or until further notice, Dalecrest Dr. between Woodstone Dr. and Cedarhurst Dr. will be closed due to storm water work.

Silver Lot Park and Ride - Route 80X On Friday, May 17, 2013, and Thursday and Friday, May 23-24, 2013, the Silver Lot Park and Ride lot at Charlotte Motor Speedway will be closed for race events.

Ride CATS to the Race - All RoutesOn Saturday, May 18, 2013 the Charlotte Area Transit System will operate additional service on route 79X Concord Mills Express to take customers to the Sprint All Star race at Charlotte Motor Speedway.
Street Closure - Route 12On Sunday, May 12th, southbound South Blvd. between the Lynx Scaleybark Station & Scaleybark Rd. will be closed for rail work.
Street Closure - Route 2On Monday, May 13th through Friday, May 17th, northbound Mint St. between Carson Blvd. & Morehead St. will be closed for utility work.

Free Rack and Ride - All RoutesDuring CATS’ Clear the Air campaign, you and your bike can ride FREE, May 5 -11, whenever you Rack and Ride on any of CATS’ services, including LYNX.
Street Closure - Route 30On April 29th through May 24th North Hoskins Rd. between Tennessee Ave. & Chesapeake Dr. will be closed for water main work.
Public Meeting - Gold Rush Red Line and Orange LineCATS is hosting a public meeting to share information and solicit input regarding a proposed service reduction of the Gold Rush Red Line and discontinuation of the Gold Rush Orange Line Center City Circulator services
Road Closure - All RoutesBeginning April 21, 2013 through May 19, 2013, Trade Street will be closed to vehicular traffic between College Street and Caldwell Street due to construction.
Road Closure - Route 15On Saturday, April 20th, Randolph Rd. between Caswell St. & Laurel Ave. will be closed for utility work.
Detour - Route 8On Saturday, April, 20th, Thriftwood Dr. at Freedom Dr. will be closed for construction.
NoDa Grand Prix - Routes 3 and 23On Sunday, April 14, 2013, the NoDa Grand Prix will take place. It will effect North Davidson St., 36th St., & other streets in the NODA neighborhood. The buses will follow the detour below.
Pet Palooza - Route 27On Saturday, April 13, 2013, the Pet Palooza 5k begins on Park Ave. at 9:15a.m. to 12:00 p.m.

LYNX Blue Line Weekend Construction Line Cut WorkDuring the weekend of April 6-7, construction work near the LYNX Blue Line New Bern Station will continue. During this time, the LYNX Blue Line will operate to all stations from I-485/S. Blvd. Station to the Scaleybark Station.

Bank of America 500 ServiceOn Saturday, October 13, 2012 the Charlotte Area Transit System will operate additional service on route 79X Concord Mills Express to take customers to the Bank of America 500 race at Charlotte Motor Speedway.

Labor Day Schedule September 3, 2012On Monday, September 3, CATS services will be operating on a holiday schedule for Labor Day. CATS buses will run per their Sunday schedule. There is no express service operating on this day.

Panther Game Day Detours: Routes 2,5,21,26On Panther game days Routes 2,5,21 and 16 will have temporary detours. Mint Street will close between Morehead & Stonewall Streets before and after all Carolina Panthers home football games.
Detour - August 4th - Routes 1,6,10,16,19,25 On Saturday, August 4 from 6:30 to 10:00 am, Mint Street between Morehead & Stonewall Streets, Graham Street between Mint & 3rd Streets, Stonewall St, Kenilworth Ave & Morehead St. will be closed for the Carolina Panthers Blue Points 5k run

Route 18 & 20 Detour July 27 - 28On Friday, July 27th from 7:00 pm until Saturday, July 28th at 7:00 pm the 24 Hours of Booty will be held in Charlotte and will effect Queens Rd, Selwyn Ave, Queens Rd West & Hopedale Avenue.
LYNX Park n Ride Lot ConstructionThis is a reminder that construction work for the new parking guidance system is underway and will continue over the next several weeks.

Detour - Walk to Effect ALS - April 28, 2012On Saturday, April 28, Elizabeth Ave., Hawthorne Lane, 7th Street and several streets in the Elizabeth Neighborhood will be closed for the Walk to Defeat ALS. The buses will follow the detour below for the duration of the race.
Fare Increase July 1, 2012On July 1, 2012, CATS will be implementing a system-wide fare increase. This fare increase also includes CATS vanpool service. All advance purchases of passes valid for July 2012 will be sold at the new fare price.
Rack and RideDuring CATS’ Clear the Air campaign, you and your bike can ride FREE, April 29 thru May 5, whenever you Rack and Ride on any of CATS’ services, including LYNX*.

Detour for Cupid's 5K RaceRoute 6, 19 & 25 affected. On Saturday, February 11, 2012, the Cupid’s Cup 5K Race will begin at 7:00 AM on East Blvd. in front of Freedom Park and will last until 10:30 AM.
Detour for Road ClosureOn Saturday, February 11, from 7:00 am to 3:00 pm, Elizabeth Ave. between Charlottetowne Ave. & Kings Dr. will be closed for crane work.
Concord Express Park & Ride RelocationBeginning Monday, February 6, 2012, CATS will utilize the Embassy Suites Concord and Concord Convention Center as a temporary park and ride lot for the 80X.
LYNX Blue Line Rail MaintenanceOn Saturday and Sunday, February 4 and 5, crews will perform maintenance work on the LYNX Blue Line light rail line between Third and Fourth Streets.
Route 3 Detour till March 16, 2012Starting on Monday, January 23rd to March 16, the entrance to the CPCC Cato Campus on Grier Rd. will be closed for construction. The buses will use the following detour.

December 3, the ACC Championship 5K Chase will begin at 8:00 am on South Tryon Street between Third
Street and Fourth Street. The route includes South
Tryon Street, West Kingston Avenue, South Mint
Street and Carson Boulevard.
Routes 77x, 97 - Christmas in DavidsonOn Thursday, December 1st through Saturday, December 3rd, from 6:00 pm to 10:00 pm, Main Street between Griffith & Jackson Streets will be closed for Christmas in Davidson.
Buses will be using the following detour during this time.
