The Charlotte International Cabinet and the Office of the Mayor have hosted the Mayor's International Community Awards since 1998. This event honors foreign-owned firms in the Charlotte region for their outstanding contributions to philanthropy. Three companies are chosen as winners in the Small, Medium and Large categories based on the number of people they employ in the region.
In addition to foreign-owned firms, the Mayor's International Community Awards recognizes three individuals or organizations who have displayed strong leadership and contributed to the development of Charlotte's international community. The three categories for these awards are the Richard Vinroot International Achievement Award, the Patrick McCrory International Entrepreneur Award, and the Global Leader Award.
Criteria for each award can also be found by following the two links below. The nomination process is closed for 2014, but we will begin accepting nominations for 2015 in November.
