Charlotte Area Transit System (CATS) plans to seek $300 million for the North Corridor Commuter Rail project from the $1.5 million discretionary grant program. The remaining $100 million would be shared by the state, Charlotte, Huntersville, Cornelius, Davidson and Mooresville. |

CATS will submit an application for the North Corridor Commuter Rail project. The N.C. Department of Transportation plans to submit an application for the I-85 Yadkin River Bridge. Either project would utilize the maximum allowable funding for North Carolina. |
