 Overview: The Department of Homeland Security received $150 million in discretionary grants to improve security in public transportation systems.
 Eligibility: Two projects that CATS will apply to receive funding:
Digital Cameras/Surveillance System ($1 million)
Rail Simulator ($750,000) – This would improve driver training while reducing the costs and risks associated with using an actual light rail vehicle.
