The neighborhood, the history, and the citizens that once stood in Second Ward share something important with the community that should be built there now. Through the design process of the Center City 2010 Vision Plan, Charlotte and its citizens have come to understand the importance of creating a livable uptown for people of diverse backgrounds.
This influx of energy in the uptown core will help invigorate the Charlotte region and provide an identifiable image for our city. Our process shall be a collaborative effort between the citizens and the professionals given the privilege to help envision this new neighborhood.
Public involvement will help bring forth a character and identity for the new Second Ward community that responds to the needs and desires of Charlotteans.
