In 1989, the Airport Advisory Committee established the Neighborhood Task Force in order to have a direct link to the surrounding communities.   The Task Force consists of neighbors that live in the neighborhoods closest to the runways.  There are 14 members and the group meets regularly to keep nearby residents informed on airport issues and voice neighborhood concerns.
