Procurement Services is part of the Business Support Services Department of the City of Charlotte. 

Procurement is made up of the following functional groups:



Commodities

The Commodities Team is responsible for the procurement of commodities, goods, equipment and rolling stock.  Our expert staff of Purchasing Agents can assist you in navigating through statutory guidelines and best business practices to ensure your department is fully equipped and ready to meet the demands of your job.  From furniture to fire equipment, fuel to playground equipment, our Purchasing Agents can help you obtain what you need.

Services and Technology Contracting
The Services and Technology Contracting Team is responsible for all Services and Technology contracting activities and acts in a consulting capacity to advise and direct internal and external customers through the procurement process. This process may require the management of any or all "cradle to grave" contracting activities and is designed to protect the integrity of the City of Charlotte and Mecklenburg County contracting process while serving the needs of the customer.

Asset Recovery and Disposal
The Asset Recovery and Disposal Facility manages the storage and ultimate disposal of surplus property and rolling stock for the City, County, Board of Education and the Housing Authority.
