SUSAN G. KOMEN RACE FOR THE CURE
Routes 2, 8, 11, 13, 16, 18, 19, 22, 34, 79x & Sprinter
On Saturday, October 3, 2009, the Susan G. Komen Charlotte Race for the Cure will assemble on South Tryon St. between MLK Jr. Blvd. & Trade St. at 5:00 a.m. The racecourse proceeds south on Tryon St., turns right on Morehead St., right on Mint St., left on 4th St., left on Summit Ave., right on Litaker St., right on Grandin Rd., right on 4th St. and continues to the finish line between Graham & Mint Streets. The following detours will be in effect:
From Charlotte Transportation Center (CTC)
Routes 2, 16, 18 & 19
Outbound buses will circle the CTC by turning right on 4th, College, Trade & Caldwell Streets. Route 18 will turn left on Stonewall St. and resume the regular route. Route 2 will turn right on Carson Blvd., left on Mint St. and resume the regular route. Route 16 will turn right on Carson, left on Tryon St., and resume the regular route. Route 19 will turn right on Carson, right on Tryon, right on College, right on Morehead St. and resume the regular route.
Routes 8 & 34
Outbound buses will follow the regular route to Trade & Cedar Streets, continue on Trade, turn left on Wesley Heights Way, right on Walnut Avenue and resume the regular route.
Routes 11, 13, 22 & 79x
Outbound buses will depart on 4th Street and turn right on College Street. Routes 11, 13 & 22 will turn left on 6th St., right on Tryon St. and resume the regular route. Route 79x will turn left on Trade and resume the regular route.
Sprinter
Outbound buses will follow the regular route to Trade & Mint Streets, continue on Trade, merge onto I-77, exit onto Morehead Street and resume the regular route.
To Charlotte Transportation Center (CTC)
Route 2
Inbound buses will follow the regular route to Mint St. & Carson Blvd., turn right on Carson, left on Tryon St., right on College St. and resume the regular route.
Routes 8 & 34
Inbound buses will follow the regular route to Walnut Ave. & Wesley Heights Way, turn left on Wesley Heights, right on Trade St. and proceed to the CTC.
Routes 18 & 19
Inbound buses will use the regular route to College St., turn right on College and resume the regular routes.
Sprinter
Inbound buses will follow the regular route to Morehead & I-77, merge onto I-77, exit onto Trade St. and proceed to the CTC.
