Holiday Safety Reminder

With the holiday shopping season upon us, CATS wants to remind you of simple safety measures to practice when out in public.

• Be alert to your surroundings at all times
• Donšt flash large amounts of cash
• Keep a close watch on your packages
• Travel with someone you know
• Avoid talking to strangers.
• Be aware and walk confidently like you have a purpose and you know what youšre doing.
• Donšt leave packages on the car seats. Store packages out of sight in the trunk or under a covered rear cargo area.
• Report any suspicious persons or activity to police by calling 911 or inform your transit operator.
• Pay attention to who gets on or off at your stop.
• Trust your instincts. If something or someone makes you uneasy, avoid the person or Leave.
