UPTOWN EVENTS

ROUTES 2, 3, 4, 9, 10, 14, 15, 16, 17, 18, 19, 23, 27 & 39

On Saturday, September 26, 2009, two events affecting CATS service will take place in the Uptown area:

Hit the Brixx 10K, 5K and 1-mile run will begin at 7:00 a.m. and will last until 11:00 a.m. The 5K course includes 6th St., Tryon St., 7th St., Park Dr., Travis Ave., Elizabeth Ave. and Caldwell St. back to 6th St. The 10K uses 6th St., Tryon St., 7th St., 5th St., Osborne Ave., Kenmore Ave., Dotger Ave., Vail Ave., Caswell Rd., 5th St., Clement Ave., Park Dr., Elizabeth Ave., Caldwell St. and back to 6th St.

The Diocese of Charlotte Eucharistic Congress Procession will begin at 7:00 a.m. and will last until 10:30 a.m. To accommodate this event, South Tryon, 3rd., College & Stonewall Streets will close in the vicinity of the Uptown Convention Center.

Customers wishing to board or alight CATS routes within the affected areas are encouraged to do so at the Charlotte Transportation Center, located at 310 E. Trade Street.
