NEW SATURDAY EXPRESS SERVICE

On Saturday, October 3, 2009, CATS will implement a new Saturday express route. The 79x Concord Mills Express will provide service to the employment/retail establishments in the City of Concord and Uptown Charlotte. Route 79x will operate on Saturdays from the Charlotte Transportation Center (CTC) to Bruton Smith Blvd to Lowe’s Motor Speedway and continue to Concord Mills Mall. The Concord Mills Express will also provide passengers with opportunity to transfer to the Concord- Kannapolis Rider (CK Rider). 
 
The operation of Route 79X Concord Mills Express service is funded by Job Access Reverse Commute (JARC) funds, Lowes Motor Speedway, the City of Concord and the City of Charlotte.  The regular cash fare will be $3.00 per trip and will operate on Saturdays between 8:55 am - 9:55 pm.
