Crime Story:
On April 4, 1994 the victim was walking down Kohler Ave. at approximately 6:30 p.m. when he was approached by Emmith Snell. Snell was operating a blue Honda and had driven along side the victim to talk with him. The victim owed Snell fifty dollars from a previous drug deal and had not paid him.

Snell stopped the car and got out to confront the victim and the victim told him he would go to his house on Kohler Ave. and get the money.  The victim began to walk away from Snell and started to "mouth off" at him. Snell told police in a confession that he panicked and shot the victim in the back because he did not know what the victim was going to do. he thought he just wounded him and did not intent to hill him.

Snell left the scene and the victim was later transported to the hospital were he died from his injuries. Snell pled guilty to Second Degree Murder and received a life sentence.
