No adult or juvenile dancehall shall be allowed to operate without a valid dancehall permit issued by the Chief of Police. It shall be unlawful for any person to operate a dancehall without the permit.  An application for a permit must be made by the owner of the business on a form prescribed by the chief of police and submitted to the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department Vice and Narcotics Bureau.
