A Neighborhood Improvement Project

In November 2006, voters approved $25,000,000 for neighborhood improvement projects including $5,000,000 for Colonial Village/Sedgefield. This project area is bounded by Ideal Way, Park Road, Scaleybark Road and Industry Road. 

  • The neighborhood will receive improvements, but not limited to curb and gutter, sidewalks with ADA  wheel chair ramps, planting strips and storm water drainage.

Objectives:

  • To improve the quality of life for the residents of the Colonial Village/Sedgefield neighborhoods
  • To provide new sidewalks and planting strips for pedestrians to walk safely through their neighborhoods

Colonial Village/Sedgefield
This project will build new sidewalk, curb and gutter, and minor storm drainage improvements in the Colonial Village/Sedgefield neighborhood.

What's happened?
City Council awarded the planning contract to US Infrastructure  on May 14, 2007. The first public meeting was held on June 28, 2007.  The October newsletter describes the first public meeting results. The second public meeting was held on October 23, 2007.  An update was mailed to residents in April 2008.

What's next? The project is currently in the design phase.

Cost:  $5,200,000
Please note this figure includes all costs associated with the project such as planning and design, acquiring the right of way, utility relocation, consultant fees, construction, signalization, permits and landscaping.
