Hope Valley/Oak Forest Neighborhood Improvement Project

A 2010 Neighborhood Bond Project
This project will provide various infrastructure improvement (sidewalk, curb and gutter, drainage, etc.) in the Hope Valley/Oak Forest which is located on both sides of Milton Road and bounded by Tipperary Place on the west and the railway lines on the south. The north boundary is the rear property line of Belle Plaine Drive and the east boundary is Meadowcliff and Barrington.
In the voter approved 2006 neighborhood improvement bonds, $500,000 was included for Planning & Design for the Hope Valley/Oak Forest project. The remaining $3,500,000 needed to construct the project is currently included in the proposed 2010 bond referendum.
This project may also involve coordination with storm drainage and utility projects such as new water mains.
Objectives:
- Maintain, stabilize and revitalize the neighborhood through comprehensive infrastructure improvements
- Strengthen the neighborhood and surrounding community

Cost: $4,000,000 Please note that this is the NIP funding amount. Additional funding may be identified after the planning phase. Project costs typically include all costs associated with the project such as planning and design, acquiring the right of way, utility relocation, consultant fees, construction, signalization, permits and landscaping.
