A Neighborhood Improvement Project
In November 2006, voters approved $25,000,000 for neighborhood improvement projects including $2,200,000 for McCrorey Heights. This project is bounded by Beatties Ford Road, Oaklawn Avenue, Brookshire Blvd and I-77. The neighborhood will receive improvements, such as curb and gutter, sidewalks with ADA wheel chair ramps, planting strips and storm drainage improvements.
Objectives:
- To improve the quality of life for the residents of the McCrorey Heights Neighborhood through infrastructure improvements
- To provide new sidewalks and planting strips for pedestrians to walk safely through the neighborhood.

McCrorey Heights
This project will build new sidewalk, curb and gutter, planting strips and storm drainage improvements in the McCrorey Heights neighborhood.
What's happened? The first public meeting took place on September 11, 2008 at First Baptist Church on Oaklawn Avenue. Click here to view the meeting minutes. A second public meeting was held on December 16. Click here to view a summary of the meeting.
What's next? When the planning phase is complete, the design phase will begin - hopefully by summer 2009.
