Engineering & Property Management staff manage the design and construction of more than 200 capital improvement projects in Charlotte valued at over $400,000,000.

Managing the work:
Charlotte streets and neighborhoods
Project managers work with consultants and contractors to improve infrastructure in Charlotte neighborhoods such as new roads, sidewalks and curb with gutter.

The South Corridor Infrastructure Program (SCIP) includes 25 projects that will help connect businesses and communities to the light rail line the City is constructing along South Boulevard.  The individual project pages below give more detailed information.  All SCIP projects are complete except for finishing touches on the Old Pineville-Center project.  The Old Pineville-Southern Section is currently in the bid phase.
