Who We Are: a division of the Mecklenburg County Department of Social Services.
What We Do: provide services for and information to older adults (adults over age 60) and disabled adults (those over age 18). The goal is to enhance our customers' self-sufficiency and their accessibility to available resources.
How We Do It: through a variety of programs and services which are described in detail on this site. You can also find out how to apply for services, answers to frequently asked questions, telephone numbers and addresses of our various sites, as well as links to other useful web sites.

SERVICES OFFERED:

Adult Medicaid -receives and processes applications for Food Stamps and Medicaid benefits. There are several categories of Medicaid. Each category has different income and reserve requirements.

Adult Social Work Services -Services include: adult protective services, social work case management, caregiver support, community social work, guardianship, information and referral, and neighborhood outreach.

In-Home Aide -provides personal care, home management, and respite services to elderly and disabled adults who are unable to perform these tasks.
- Just 1 Call consists of a team of social workers who put people in touch with a variety of service providers, organizations and businesses that may enhance the quality of their lives.
