North Tryon
Just to the North of Uptown Charlotte, North Tryon connects Uptown to the University of North Carolina-Charlotte.  North Tryon has a rich history as one of the main trading routes of the 1750's.  Home to the historic Rosedale neighborhood where one of the few remaining plantation houses is open to the public. 

Recent News:
Charlotte CPA Angelene Melton Dunlap has purchased and will restore the 3,921-square-foot historic Abernethy house as her firm's office by late 2010.
-  NorthEnd Partners recently donated $500 to CMPD to purchase equipment for a bike patrol officer for their area.

Business Corridor Activities
In 2007 the City Council authorized a N. Tryon Redevelopment Study Report -- Feb. 2008 to determine its highest use for revitalization.  The study recommends four catalst sites for redevelopment along with appropriate uses.
