Requirement:
Effective January 01, 2010, any company providing installation and/or inspection service on portable fire extinguishers, or fire suppression systems protecting commercial cooking equipment will be required to follow the guidelines established in the attached document Fire Suppression Installation Requirements 379k . These guidelines shall not preclude companies from following all other inspection, service or installation requirements otherwise established in the North Carolina Fire Code and applicable NFPA standards.
Registration:
Companies shall register with the Fire Prevention Bureau of the Charlotte Fire Department by completing the attached registration form Fire Equipment Installer Registration Form 84k. This form may be mailed or faxed to the Fire prevention Bureau. Once received, your company name will be added to a data base established by our office.
