United Way Continuing Education Seminar

August 27 and 28, 2008

"Illustrating Changes in the 2009 NC Building Codes"
August 27 will cover the changes in the Commercial codes.
August 28 will cover the changes in the Residential codes.

SUMMARY:
This will be a 2 day, 5 hour per day continuing education seminar, sponsored by the Home Builders Association of Charlotte, AIA of Charlotte, Construction Specifications Institute, MES-Carolinas, Piedmont Natural Gas, NAIOP and PENC. The seminar will provide participants with examples of changes in the 2009 NC Building Codes. It will include Building, Fire, Electrical, Mechanical and Plumbing code updates. Day one will deal with all commercial codes, day two will deal with residential codes and issues. Common code errors in Building, Electrical, Mechanical, Plumbing, and Fire will be discussed both days.  Individual instructors will provide trade specific information that will be helpful for Contractors, Architects, Engineers, Owners, and Attorneys.  All participants will receive handouts that will enable them to reference this valuable information after the seminar.  View bios of the Instructors and Panelists.

Seminar Cost & Registration:  $125.00 per day, or $200.00 for both days
