Mecklenburg County Park and Recreation Youth Baseball registration will be in full swing from February 1-28, 2010. Age Divisions:
- T-ball 6 & Under not 7 before May 1
- Coach Pitch 8 & Under not 9 before May 1
- Player Pitch 10 & Under not 11 before May 1
- Player Pitch 12 & Under not 13 before May
- Player Pitch 14 & Under not 15 before May 1
Register online at www.parkandrec.com, click Eparks, then Program Registration, and search under the appropriate age group for baseball. Or register by phone at 311 or visit your local recreation center to register in person. Space is limited, so register soon!
Girls and boys ages 4-14 are eligible to register for these "recreational" teams. (Not all centers will have teams for all ages). Cost is $55 per participant and $375 per team. This program includes a uniform and participation trophy, plus an end of season tournaments for some age groups for individual only .
Practices begin the third week in March once a week and the games will be played at various Mecklenburg County parks on Saturdays. The first game is scheduled to begin April 17, 2010.
