The Mecklenburg County Aquatic Center offers American Red Cross Lifeguarding and CPR-PR classes throughout the year.  The Lifeguarding class consists of 3 modules, Lifeguarding, First Aid, and CPR-PR.  Lifeguarding and First Aid are three year certifications while CPR-PR is a one year certification.  Check out the link below to see our upcoming classes, rates and pre-requisities.

Prerequisites:

*Must be 15 years of age
*Complete 300 yard swim (Front crawl, breaststroke)
*Retreive a 10lb brick from at least 7 ft of water(Timed event)
*All prerequisites will take place the first day of class.
