Aerobics Studio and Fitness Programs
Our aerobics studio has a floating wood floor and a great view of the Charlotte skyline. Various programs (at varying times) are offered in our aerobics studio which include an overall body workout (Boot Camp), basic self-defense instruction, cardio kickboxing, belly dancing, personal training and more! Programs are designed to accommodate a wide variety of age groups beginning at 5 years old. Program schedules are available upon request. BSR Modern Martial Arts:
Although the purpose of the BSR Modern Martial Arts is to teach martial arts as a method of self-defense our primary focus is not to simply teach students how to punch and kick but to teach them the discipline and philosophy on which the art was founded; the unity of mind, body and spirit. We strive to develop many of the positive attributes that are lacking in some of our society. Whether we are teaching Pee-Wees (ages 4 -10), Juniors (ages 11-15), or Adults, our goal is that every student realize his or her full potential. The discipline they utilize in class is the same discipline they can use in their academic, professional, and personal lives. We encourage anyone who is interested in studying the art of Ken Zen Ichii to visit and observe our classes. We welcome questions asked of both our instructor and students. We are confident you will find our classes and instructor challenging, uplifting, and rewarding.
My name is Shihan Vincent Montgomery. I am a fifth degree Black belt under the Ken Zen IchII karate system and have been involved in the Martial arts since 1986. I have studied Tae-kwon-do, boxing, Wado-Ryu, ju-jitsu, Aiki Jujitsu, Kempo Karate, Hapkido, Goju, kung fu, and Tai chi. I am owner of the BSR Modern Martial Arts School at Ray's Splash Planet and part owner of the House Of Soke II located in Huntersville, NC.
