The Mecklenburg County Park and Recreation Department now offers local residents the opportunity to rent their own garden space. Get your garden gloves and shovels ready and get outdoors to enjoy the harvest. If you don't have space in your own yard, plant your flowers and vegetables at one of your local community garden spots. To get started, please fill out a community gardens application and e-mail or mail it to the address listed during the registration period.

Price
Garden areas have been developed throughout the county at designated park sites and can be rented. Fees are $25.00 for the 20x20 plots at Reedy Creek Park and $15.00 for Fraizer Park , Hoskins Park, Huntingtowne Park, McAlpine Creek Park, and Winget Park. Please wait until application approval before sending payment.
Waiting List
A waiting list will be created for gardens that reach their maximum capacity; applicants will be notified that they have been placed on the waiting list for their specific garden location.
