The Marion Diehl Recreation Center opened its doors to the citizens of Charlotte in 1980. It is named in honor of Mr. F. Marion Diehl who served as the Director of Charlotte Parks and recreation Department for many years. The center provides year round recreational programs for persons with or without disabilities.
This center is situated on 82 acres of land and includes a multi-purpose room, kitchen area, paved walking trail, outdoor playground, and a full size gymnasium. It also features a 25-meter by 6-lane warm pool, beach entry to a 2.5 foot wading pool and rooms. We offer a variety of programs and classes including specialized instruction for adults and children with physical disabilities!

Children Safety and Self Defense class
Ages: 4 yrs - 14 yrs old

Class Fee: $5.00 each week.
Class Time: 6:30 pm - 7:15 pm
Your child will have lots of fun in this class. They will learn self respect, as well as respect for Parents, Teachers, & Police. Tora Ha Kempo-Adult Self Defense
Safety and Self Defense class
Ages:15 yrs - Adults

Class Fee: $ 5.00 each week.

You will have fun in this class learning a mixture of Hard Fist, Soft Fist and Jujitsu Karate Techniques and self defense moves. This class is geared toward street self defense. You will also learn traditional martial arts weapons. For more information contact Instructor:
