Mecklenburg County Park and Recreation is home to are excellent places to hold special occasions such as wedding receptions, birthday parties, reunions and more. Reservations are affordable too!

	Wedding Sites Get married in the quaint, Historic St. Mary's Chapel or under the trees in one of Mecklenburg County's beautiful parks. You can even rent your own island for your wedding reception! Take a look at our ideal locations for wedding.
	Outdoor Shelters Outdoor shelters are affordable options for special occasions such as wedding receptions, birthday parties, reunions and more.  Large Shelters:  50 - 250 people capacity Medium Shelters: 35 - 50 people capacity Small Shelters:  15 - 30 people capacity
	Indoor Shelters Our indoor shelters have electricity, water, restrooms, and more. Choose from rustic to modern facilities capable of accommodating 50 - 250 people.
	Decks Equipped with grills and able to accommodate 15-50 people, our decks offer an affordable option for a small gathering.

• Weekend rates apply Friday - Sunday.
• Extra Fees apply for non-county residents
• Cancellations must be made at least 30 days prior to event. The cost will be refunded minus a 10 percent administrative cost. No refunds will be given if cancellation is less than 30 days.
• A $25 fee is charged for all returned checks.
• In the case of inclement weather, Mecklenburg County Park and Recreation will reschedule the event for another time or facility (of equal or lesser value). Refunds will not be given in the event of inclement weather.  Reschedules MUST be made within 7 business days
• March-October: Reserving a shelter at McDowell, Copperhead Island, or Jetton Park does NOT entitle vehicles to enter on SATURDAYS, SUNDAYS, AND HOLIDAYS without paying an entrance fee of $3 for in county vehicles and $5 for out of county vehicles.
