Eparks, the computerized registration/reservation service of Park and Recreation, is out of service for installation of a new program. During installation, no reservations/registrations/memberships can be entered on Eparks or through 311. Beginning 8am on July 1, all users must re-create their accounts.   • July 4th Fireworks in Uptown Charlotte - Admission to Family Fun Festival is FREE, and the festival features live music and games for kids of all ages.
  • Winget Rec Center Open House - The sessions are FREE and have activities for children, ages 12 and under. Each will offer active games, arts and crafts, and refreshments
  • Applicants Sought for Park and Rec Advisory Councils - Mecklenburg County Park and Recreation Department seeks applicants to serve on two new citizen advisory councils: the Senior Citizen Advisory Council and the Cultural Arts Advisory Council
  • Tackle Football at Elon Park - Youth tackle football team forming at Elon Park
  • Veterans & Reservists Golf Classic - A capacity turnout of 288 military veterans and active duty military personnel (including National Guard and Reserves) have signed-up to play
  • Summer Camps - Check out many camps that Park and Rec offers throughout the summer!
  • Great American Backyard Campout - McDowell Campground is an official host venue in the Charlotte area, with 56 camp sites in McDowell Nature Preserve.  Anyone who wants to try camping is invited!
  • Brown Bag Wednesdays - These sessions are for boys and girls, ages 6-12.  All sessions are FREE!  Participants engage in a variety of fun activities including crafts, African drumming, wacky science, sports, wellness and fitness activities.
  • Jazz Fests and More in Marshall Park - This series includes a variety of 70's music, Latin sounds, rhythm and blues, MoTown and even bluegrass music.
