Mecklenburg County Park and Recreation in partnership with Hands on Charlotte will be celebrating Volunteerism in Mecklenburg County on Friday September 11 at Freedom Park. 11 am – 3 pm.
Volunteers will be working on park beautification projects and we will end the day by planting a tree and dedicating it to Hands On Charlotte an agency that does so much to promote volunteerism in

Benefits
The Volunteer Services Program uniquely designed to "reward" volunteers for their time and efforts at improving the individual and overall welfare of parks and facilities. Various incentive and appreciation programs will be offered to everyone who participates. Representative examples includes: free passes, discounts, awards and more.
Become a Park Ambassador!
Park Ambassadors are volunteers who monitor and report back to staff information on the parks, trails, and greenways. Volunteers, as a representative of the department, will greet patrons, answer questions and support staff when needed.
