OAKLAWN BASKETBALL ACADEMY IS A GREAT OPPORTUNITY FOR YOUNGSTERS WHO WANT TO DEVELOP HOOPS SKILL

June 17, 2009

Charlotte, NC— Mecklenburg County Park and Recreation invites youngsters, ages 11-13, to develop basketball skills at the Oaklawn Basketball Academy June 29-July 11, 2009 at Ivory Baker Recreation Center, 1920 Stroud Park Court.

The academy focuses on learning and practicing fundamentals of the game.  It stresses strong team work and good sportsmanship.  This is a great way for parents to give children the foundation to play their best basketball.

Academy sessions are Monday-Thursday, 7pm-9pm and Saturdays, 11am-1pm.

Fee to participate is $40.  Space is limited.  To register visit www.parkandrec.com, click on Eparks, and use Course Barcode #45239 or call 311 or 704 432-4580.  Program coordinator is Sonya Smith
