November 5, 2009

Charlotte, NC – Mecklenburg County Park and Recreation Department invites youngsters, ages 5-12, to bring their favorite storybook to share, at an exciting literary event called “Young Readers Day” on Saturday. November 14, 2009, 1pm-3pm. It is at Winget School Recreation Site, 12235 Winget Road in southwest Charlotte.

This event celebrates the joy of reading!  A special guest reader will be Jim Garges, Director of Park and Recreation.  Mr. Garges has a mellifluous voice and will weave magic through his expressive reading style.  There will be readings and discussions about fascinating books.
