Effective March 1, 2006 Charlotte-Mecklenburg Utilities will require all contractors interested in bidding on CMU projects, to sign a confidentiality agreement.  The agreement is to ensure that sensitive information about the water plants and distribution network are not copied or given to unauthorized individuals.  For more information, call 704-399-2221 and ask for Contract Administration.

Vendor Registration Required for All Businesses (back to top)                 

Effective December 1, 2004 each vendor must be registered in the City's Vendor Management System (VMS) as a condition of receiving payment from the City.   To Register your company - read  Vendor Registration Cover Letter  and submit a  Vendor Registration Form.  For more information click here and look for 'Vendor Registration.'  The City of Charlotte should be notified immediately of any changes to contact information, mailing address, NIGP coding etc.  Failure to keep this information updated could result in failure to receive notification of an upcoming bid or RFP.  Please contact Procurement Services at 704 336-2256 to update VMS.

Before Submitting your next invoice, some contractors may need to attach and fill out Form 6 (Payment Affidavit.doc).
