Immunizations (shots) protect our community from deadly diseases. These diseases do still exist today and can spread quickly. It is better to prevent diseases then to treat them. Your local health department offers immunizations (shots) in a safe and caring environment. We are committed to assessing and offering all shots to protect you from disease.Effective July 1, 2015, North Carolina will have new vaccine (shot) requirements for school age children. The Mecklenburg County Health Department wants you to get those shots early so your child won't be dismissed from school. The health department will hold two Saturday clinics to provide an opportunity for children to receive their required "Back to School" shots.
