Charlotte, NC -- Mecklenburg County Park and Recreation invites youth, ages 11-17, to learn about the fundamentals of being a chef in the Meck Teen Chef course. Classes include world cuisines, dining room etiquette, a restaurant simulation/graduation and a special guest. Sign-up now and increase your knowledge of the culinary arts!
Classes will be Mondays, March 23-May 18. 2009, 5:30pm-8pm, at Charlotte Presbyterian Church, 701 Scaleybark Road. Cost is $15 per class which includes food, chef hat and coat. Students must attend for the entire eight weeks. This program is offered in partnership with executive chef Suzanne Dillingham, who teaches the classes.
