Register Now For Girls Basketball Leagues

Charlotte, NC-- Mecklenburg County Park and Recreation offers two opportunities for girls, ages 9-12, to participate in basketball leagues this winter. Games are played December-February. The deadline to register is October 26, 2009 for either the Recreational League or the Open Competitive League.

Register online at, click on Eparks, and enter the Course Barcode number for the appropriate league or call 311 or visit the appropriate recreation center.

Recreational League (register as individual players)
  • Girls, ages 9-10, play at West Charlotte Recreation Center, 2400 Kendall Drive, Course Barcode # 5558 or Albemarle Road Recreation Center, 5027 N. Idlewild Road, Course Barcode # 5592
  • Girls 11-12 register play at Southview Recreation Center, 1720 Vilma Street Course Barcode # 5622 The cost is $55, includes a uniform and participation trophy.

Competitive Open-League (register as teams)

  • Girls, ages 9-12 play Friday or Saturday at First Ward Recreation Center, 610 E.7th Street. Course Barcode #5260. The cost is $375 per team, includes trophies for league winners.
