Charlotte, NC— Seniors ages 55 and older are invited to attend the “I Have a Dream Tour” celebrating the life and legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. The tour is scheduled for Tuesday, Feb. 8, 2011 and will include visits to several landmarks of the Civil Rights Movement around the state.

The tour will begin with a visit to MLK Memorial Gardens in Raleigh (including at stop for lunch at Larry’s Southern Kitchen), followed by the Charlotte Hawkins Brown Museum in Gibsonville. The tour will conclude at the International Civil Rights Center and Museum in Greensboro.

The trip will depart from Marion Diehl Recreation Center at 8 a.m., and Mallard Creek Recreation Center at 8:45 a.m. Participants should return to Charlotte around 6 p.m.
