Do You Have What it Takes to be Charlotte's Next Teen Chef?

Park and Rec in partnership with Executive Chef Susanne Dillingham, Owner of (The Tiny Chef), will hold a MeckTeen Chef class on Mondays from 6 p.m.-8:30 p.m. beginning Jan. 30 and ending March 26. 


Charlotte, NC- Mecklenburg County Park and Recreation in partnership with Executive Chef Susanne Dillingham, Owner of (The Tiny Chef), will hold a MeckTeen Chef class, an eight-week program designed to teach teens the basics of cooking.

Classes meet on Mondays from 6 p.m.-8:30 p.m. beginning Jan. 30 and ending March 26. The program will be held at Charlotte Presbyterian Church 701 Scaleybark Drive. The cost is $15 per session which includes food, a uniform (Hat and Jacket) a folder for all recipes and PowerPoint lessons totaling $120 for the entire course.

Each class will consist of lessons and hands on activities. Students will learn how to cook a variety of different meals as well as dining room etiquette all from a professional licensed chef. Participants will start off with basic dishes and work their way to complicated ones.

At the end of the program, students will have a restaurant simulation and graduation that friends and family are invited to attend.
