Park and Rec Mentoring Program Provides Valuable Work Experience to Local Youth
Park and Recreation is not only the natural place to be but also the natural place to learn.
Take Control of Your Health in Just Six Weeks!
The FREE program, which is designed to help adults dealing with chronic illness, will take place on Fridays from 1 p.m. – 3 p.m., Feb. 3 – March 9, 2012, at Bette Rae Thomas Recreation center.
Do You Have What it Takes to be Charlotte's Next Teen Chef?
Park and Rec in partnership with Executive Chef Susanne Dillingham, Owner of (The Tiny Chef), will hold a MeckTeen Chef class on Mondays from 6 p.m.-8:30 p.m. beginning Jan. 30 and ending March 26.
Become a Certified Water Safety Instructor
Earn a Water Safety Instruction Certification (WSI) by participating in a six-week course offered by the American Red Cross. Classes will be held at Ray's Splash Planet.
