The Therapeutic Recreation Section provides a training site for internships in the field of Therapeutic Recreation. Students who are interested in a community-based TR program can contact Karla D. Gray, Sr. TR Manager at 704.432.0237.

About the Therapeutic Recreation Division
The Therapeutic Recreation Section of MCPRD is one of the largest community-based TR programs in the state of North Carolina.  The TR Section currently employs 8 full-time professional staff who are licensed by the State of North Carolina through NCBRTL and certified nationally as a CTRS through NCTRC.  

Students interested in applying for an internship must submit a completed application form, resume, cover letter and three letters of reference to:

Applications will be accepted during the following timelines:
Internship beginning in January: Application deadline October 31
Internship beginning in May: Application deadline February 28
