The Provided Services Organization’s Substance Abuse Services Division provides treatment services within the Men’s and Women’s shelters of Mecklenburg County. Treatment services are facilitated 5 days a week for 4 hours a day. Treatment services include individual and group counseling, psycho-education on drugs and alcohol, and aftercare services. Treatment services are facilitated using Best Practice Models such as Integrated Dual Diagnosis Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, and Seeking Safety.

CADRE (Carolina Alcohol and Drug Resources) Program

The CADRE program provides holistic substance abuse services to consumers with HIV and substance abuse issues.  Available services include pre-treatment counseling and harm-reduction based individual and group substance abuse treatment.  The program also provides aftercare, care coordination, and peer support services as well as HIV and Hepatitis C testing and results.  Consumers receiving these services may participate in the program for up to 18 months.
