County Manager Presents $1.4 Billion Budget
To County Commissioners
County Manager Harry L. Jones Sr. rolled out his FY2013 recommended budget Tuesday night, calling for a property tax rate decrease for residents and restoring some funding for libraries and parks.
Jones credited the Board for exhibiting strong fiscal discipline. The Board will hear from residents at a public hearing May 24.

Mecklenburg County, coordinated through Community Area Resource Team for Troops (CARTT), presents the inaugural Military Awareness Week, May 13-19. Events will be held throughout the week, culminating in a large celebration on May 19 at Marshall Park.
