The opening of City facilities will be delayed until 9:00 am in the morning due to the weather.  All 24/7 operations will continue operations as usual as well as City services such as Street Maintenance and fleet maintenance that are crucial in bad weather. 

Solid Waste Services will have a garbage collection schedule update after Noon today.  Check back for detailed reports.

Landscape Management started to receive calls for tree debris in the streets at 11:00am March 1, 2009.  Staff has worked throughout the night responding to calls.  As of 4:00 am, March 2, 2009, staff has received 32 calls for service and has cleared debris out of the streets from 21 of the calls.  Staff will continue to work to clear the streets first then come back later to remove the debris from the right-of-way.

Landscape Management had contractors on several sites (CMGC, City Hall, Police Headquarters) at 9:00pm on March 1, 2009 to spread deicer on sidewalks around these facilities.  Contractors will be back on site at many other city and cultural arts facilities this morning, March 2, 2009 at 5:00am to clear sidewalks and parking lots.
