Passenger traffic continues to climb at Charlotte Douglas throughout 2013. The latest numbers show a 5 percent increase from January – September 2013. During that time period, 32.54 million travelers visited the Airport when compared to 30.91 million passengers during that same time period last year.
Cargo activity experienced a 2 percent increase during the first nine months of 2013, rising from 95,152 tons last year (January – September 2012) to 96,621 tons this year (January – September 2013).
Operations had a 1 percent jump, overseeing 419,145 landings and departures from January of this year through September compared to 415,470 during that same time span in 2012.
If the upswing continues, CLT will surpass 2012’s record breaking year of 41.23 million passengers and 552,093 operations.
