CLT is now on Facebook and Twitter. This marks the first time the Airport has embarked into social media. The addition of these communication tools allows CLT to push out stories, details and facts about the Airport that normally are not seen or known to passengers.
Many larger airports are already using social media to convey updates and promote services. The fairly new public platform continues to rise in popularity. Facebook now boasts more than 800 million active users. Twitter, which allows users to convey information in 140 characters or less, has more than 300 million users.
New Facebook posts and tweets are broadcast daily.
