Final Incident Advisory:


At 1:41 p.m. today, a small, private aircraft landed short of Runway 36R. Two passengers were on board, walked away from the aircraft, were checked by Medic and transported with reportedly minor injuries.
 
Emergency responders included Airport Officials and Operations, Charlotte Fire Department Battalion 8: Fire Station 17, 41, 30 and various companies throughout the city, MEDIC and Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department.
 
The FAA arrived on the scene at approximately 2:25 p.m. The aircraft was removed from the site at approximately 3:03 p.m. Emergency crews will clear the scene by approximately 5 p.m. 
 
There were no operational impacts at Charlotte Douglas International Airport and all runways remained open.

Emergency crews have cleared the scene, law enforcement officials remain at key intersections directing traffic.
 
Crews are in the process of removing the aircraft from the scene.
 
Cleanup and site restoration are underway.

The FAA is now on site at Charlotte Douglas International Airport, where at 1:41 p.m. a small, private aircraft landed short of Runway 36R. As a precautionary measure, emergency crews remain on-site. Both passengers walked away from the aircraft, were checked by MEDIC and transported reportedly with minor injuries.
 
West Boulevard, between Airport Drive and Yorkmont Road, remains closed until further notice.
There has been no impact on Airport operations. CLT remains open and operational.
