Robbery Suspect Apprehended
North Tryon Division Officers with the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department have arrested Carlos Montrece Massey, DOB 06/02/1993, for his involvement in an armed robbery case.
On October 6, 2012, at approximately 12:00 p.m., patrol officers were dispatched to 4330 Old Interstate Road following a 911 call for service concerning a minor traffic accident. When officers arrived on the scene, the driver of one of the vehicles involved in the accident stated she was leaving a nearby hotel parking lot when another driver struck her car with his vehicle causing minor damage. The victim stated that following the collision, the driver got out of his vehicle, displayed a handgun in an attempt to prevent the victim from contacting police to report the accident, and removed the victim and her passenger’s cell phones before leaving the scene.
Later that evening, officers located the suspect and vehicle at 4718 N. Graham Street. The victim was transported to the scene and positively identified Massey as the man involved in the robbery. Massey was arrested without incident and charged with robbery with a dangerous weapon. Officers Arrest Residential B&E Suspects
Providence Division Officers with the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department have arrested Marcus Shane Humphries, DOB: 08/14/1981, and Sohrab King, DOB 09/13/1976, for their involvement in a residential breaking and entering case.
On October 4, 2012, at approximately 3:00 a.m., patrol officers were dispatched to a residential breaking and entering call for service to a home in the 200 block of Wyanoke Avenue. The victim stated that he arrived at his residence to find the front door ajar and several items missing from the residence, including a distinctive type of toolbox. The victim also stated he observed two men walking down 7th street with a similar toolbox to the one that was stolen from his residence. Officers located the suspects, who live directly across the street from the victim.
Information and evidence gathered during the investigation implicated both Humphries and King in the break-in. Both suspects were arrested and charged with breaking and entering with force, larceny, and possession of stolen goods. Officers also recovered property stolen from the victim’s residence in the woods directly behind the suspects home a short time later.
