Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department’s Robbery Unit and the FBI Safe Streets Task Force have charged Michael Keith Hall, DOB: 12/22/1957, for his involvement in the robbery of the First Citizens Bank.

On Friday, June 19, 2014, at approximately 4:03 p.m., Mr. Hall entered the First Citizens Bank, located at 6709 N. Tryon Street.  He handed a note to a teller demanding money.  After receiving the money, Mr. Hall fled the scene on foot.

North Tryon Division patrol officers responded to the scene and broadcasted a description of the wanted suspect.  Officers quickly set up a perimeter and requested the assistance from the Aviation and K9 Units.  Officers observed Mr. Hall nearby who took off running.

A citizen flagged down officers and told them the suspect was hiding behind his residence on Hampton Way.  Officers located and arrested Mr. Hall who was then transported to police headquarters where he was interviewed by robbery detectives.

Upon completion of the interview, Mr. Hall was charged with Robbery with a Dangerous Weapon and transferred to the custody of the Mecklenburg County Sheriff’s Office.

A quick response from patrol officers and an alert citizen enabled officers to arrest Mr. Hall.
