The Charlotte-Mecklenburg Animal Care & Control partners with many local, regional and national rescue groups.
The rescue groups listed below have submitted applications to Animal Care & Control and are authorized to adopt animals from us. These groups also assist us by caring for animals that have special needs and would otherwise not find a home.
We would like to take this opportunity to thank these groups for their continued support and encourage you to contact them if you can not find the type of pet you are looking for on our website.

On February 23, 2012, Animal Care & Control held the 3rd Annual Rescue Group Reception at the CMPD/CMFD Training Academy for all Rescue Groups. We thanked all the groups that pull animals from the facility and all of their help in our partnerships.
We hold this event every year and all rescue groups are welcome.
