I wanted to share with the team at the Charlotte Animal Care & Control center some updates on our two wonderful adopted animals.


My husband and I adopted our 5 month old puppy from Animal Care & Control on Feb. 1st. Her name at the shelter was Faith and she is a beautiful black Labrador mix. We renamed her Kuechly (after the Carolina Panthers Defensive Linebacker, Luke Kuechly) and for short, we call her Keeks! Kuechly is now 6 months old and growing by the minute! We love her so much – she is such a happy puppy and loves her new home. She’s very healthy and the vet could not believe what a well behaved puppy that she is.


We also adopted our adorable cat last summer from Animal Care & Control.  Her name is Smitty – she used to be Emmy at the shelter – and yes, she too, is named after a Carolina Panthers player: Steve Smith. She is a tuxedo cat and is now 3 years old. She loves our home and is the sweetest cat in the world.



Both of our animals are huge Panthers fans and NC State Wolfpack fans.
