| Victim: Olman Lainez Cruz Location: 6608 Idlewild Rd. |
| On October 14, 2012, Independence Division patrol officers responded to an “assist Medic” in reference to a male subject that had fallen down an apartment stairwell. When officers arrived, they located the victim, Olman Lainez Cruz at the bottom of the stairs with an apparent gunshot wound. Medic arrived and pronounced the victim deceased at the scene. |

| Victim: Silvano Melgar-Galicia Location: 5112 Central Ave. |
| On October 6, 2012, Eastway Division officers responded to 5112 Central Avenue in reference to an “assist Medic” call where a male victim was bleeding and appeared to have been assaulted. Upon officers arrival, they found the victim located along a wooded path. Medic transported the victim to the hospital where he died later as a result of his injuries. The victim was later identified as Silvano Melgar-Galicia. |

| Victim: Kevin Washington Location: 5947 Timbertop Lane |
| On July 15, 2012, Hickory Grove Division officers responded to a “shots fired” call with multiple people injured. When officers arrived on scene, they found three male victims suffering from gunshot wounds. One victim, Kevin Washington, was pronounced deceased on scene by Medic. The two other injured individuals were transported to the hospital for treatment of non-life threatening injuries. A large group of people were attending a party at 6008 Timbertop Lane. An altercation occurred between two groups which lead to the shooting. |

| Victim: Matthew Thomas Hawkins Location: 724 E. 17th St. |
| On July 10, 2012, Eastway Division patrol officers responded to a house under renovation at E. 17th St. in reference to an “assault with a deadly weapon call with injuries involved.” When officers arrived, they located a male victim that was identified as Matthew Thomas Hawkins. The victim was suffering from an apparent gunshot wound and was transported to the hospital by Medic with life threatening injuries. Two days later on July 12th, the victim died from his injuries. A second victim was present at the home, but was not injured in the shooting. The suspect was attempting to commit a robbery of the two victims. The suspect was described as a dark skinned black male wearing a dark t-shirt and long dark shorts. |

| On July 10, 2012, patrol officers responded to Theresa Elder Park to a 911 caller’s report of a female that was suffering from an apparent gunshot wound in a secluded area of the park. The victim was pronounced deceased on the scene by Medic. The victim was later identified as Hawa Love Gabbidon. |

| On July 5, 2012, patrol officers were called to check on an unresponsive male lying on the ground in the rear parking lot of La Zima Bar Mexicano located at 111 Eastway Drive. When officers arrived, they located Francisco Sanchez in a grassy area of the parking lot. Medic pronounced the victim deceased at the scene. The victim had sustained trauma to his body that resulted in his death. |

| On May 21, 2012, North Division patrol officers responded to 3614 Durham Lane in reference to the report of shots being fired. When officers arrived, they found the victim, Rodney Robinson, inside the home suffering from an apparent gunshot wound. There were no other individuals inside the home when officers arrived. When Medic arrived on the scene, they pronounced the victim deceased. |

| On April 30, 2012, officers responded to 624 Billingsley Road in reference to an “assault with a deadly weapon” call for service. Upon their arrival, officers located the victim, Ronald Martin suffering from an apparent gunshot wound. Medic then arrived and pronounced the victim deceased on the scene. |

| On February 23, 2012 patrol officers responded to Lambeth Drive to investigate a “shots fired” call for service. When officers arrived they located the victim, Manquell Worsley inside his apartment suffering from an apparent gunshot wound. Medic arrived on the scene and pronounced the victim deceased. |

| On January 19, 2012, patrol officers were called to respond to Al’s Mini Mart located at 2325 Toomey Ave. to check on an unresponsive male located in a vehicle parked in front of the store. Upon arrival, the victim, Yam Monteith Fluker, was found in the vehicle not breathing. The victim was pronounced deceased at the scene by Medic. |

| Victim: Brandon Jermaine Covington Location: 8801 E. W. T. Harris Blvd. |
| On Jamuary 1, 2012, patrol officers responded to the Backstage nightclub in reference to a shooting that was called in by off-duty patrol officers that were working there that evening. The shooting occurred as the club was closing for the night and the off-duty officers and private security officers were trying to clear the parking lot. Several gunshots were heard in the crowd. As officers made their way over to the location of the gunshots, they located the victim, Brandon Jermaine Covington, who had been shot in the head. Medic transported the victim to the hospital where he died later in the day. |

| On November 16, 2011, officers responded to “a person down” call for service in reference to a woman found unresponsive in a parking lot behind the business located at 1008 N. Tryon St. Medic transported her to the hospital where she was pronounced deceased. The female victim was later identified as Bridgette Nicole Evans. |

| On September 26, 2011, officers responded to a shooting that left one person deceased at 2705 Milton Rd. Apt. 6 in the Hampton Commons Apartment Complex. The victim was found to be suffering from at least one gunshot wound and was pronounced deceased at the scene. The victim was identified as Jarquis Antoine Howie. |

| On August 13, 2011, officers responded to Barringer Drive to investigate reports that a person had been shot. When officers arrived on scene, they located the victimJustin Delton Jeeter, inside of the residence suffering from a gunshot wound. Medic arrived soon after and pronounced the victim deceased. Witness statements indicate that a male subject knocked on the door of the home. Soon after, the male subject pulled out a firearm and shot the victim in the chest. The suspect then fled from the residence on foot in the direction of Interstate 77. |

| Victim: Wuilson Reyes-Murillo Location: 4709-B Tuckaseegee Rd. |
| On July 5, 2011, officers responded to an “assault with a deadly weapon” call at the business located at 4709 Tuckaseegee Rd. Upon arrival, they found the victim, Wuilson Reyes-Murillo, lying in a small parking lot close to the business suffering from a gunshot wound. Medic pronounced the victim deceased. Statements collected from witnesses on the scene indicated that the suspects in the shooting had attempted to rob the business. During the robbery, the victim got into an altercation with the suspects. Shots were fired that struck the victim and caused fatal injuries. |

| Victim: Timothy Staten Location: 3325 Erskine Dr. |
| On July 3, 2011, officers responded to 3325 Erskine Drive in reference to an unresponsive male that had collapsed on the front porch of the residence located there. Upon arrival, officers found the victim; Mr. Timothy Staten deceased from gunshot wounds. Reports from witnesses were that the victim had been involved in a physical confrontation with another male in a parking lot of an apartment complex nearby. As the confrontation ended, witnesses saw the victim running from the scene and heard at least one gunshot. |
